The Opportunity:  
Reporting to the Head of C&T USA and Canada this position is primarily responsible of originating and negotiating standard and structured bilateral transactions in USA and Canada. This position is also responsible for negotiating amendment to existing contract and be the reference point for ECM with the Enel USA Sales and Marketing team  
  

What You'll Do at Enel North America:  
  • Staying up to date with fundamental market conditions and drivers impacting the main energy markets in North America and monitoring their evolution (legal, regulatory, etc.) 
  • Build relationships with wholesale market participants, local utility, etc 
  • Scout and originate new transactions and coordinate the counterparties onboarding (KYC process) 
  • Develop market presence for ECM in the market of interest (e.g. ERCOT, PJM) 
  • Structuring and negotiating complex structured products (e.g. PPAs) and ISDAs with the support of other relevant units (e.g., Legal, Credit and Business operations) 
  • Assist with pricing and proposal strategies to wholesale counterparties, RFP and prepare for proposals and meetings through coordination with other departments 
  • Be the referent Product Specialist for ECM with Enel USA and Sales and Marketing team 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to establish, sustain and foster professional contacts to build, enhance, and connect networks for work purposes  
  • Provide market intelligence feedback to C&T team and maintain a productive relationship with other trading Desks. 
  • Training and managing a group of 5-7 people 


Who You Are:  
  • In-depth market knowledge of US power markets (experience in two or more of the following markets: ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM, NYISO, ISONE, CAISO) 
  • Prior experience in a trading environment 
  • Prior experience in people management 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a group 
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required 
  • Demonstrates creativity, and independent thought when solving problems 
  • Good understanding of business processes and data management 
  • Builds positive relationships with internal and external groups 
  • Will require full knowledge of functional responsibilities of all groups/individuals within the organization 


What You've Accomplished:  
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Economics, Finance or Technical degree preferred), Advanced Degreed desired 
  • 10+ years related industry experience
