About the role

Enel X Flexibility Global Operations is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Global Process Automation Lead to oversee and drive our automation initiatives across multiple business units worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process automation technologies, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex global projects. This role requires a forward-thinking approach to identifying and implementing automation opportunities that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve business processes on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a global strategy for process automation that aligns with organizational objectives.
    • Identify and prioritize key business processes for automation across various regions and business units.
    • Create and maintain a global automation roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.

  • Project Management:
    • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of global automation projects, from requirements gathering and process analysis to design, development, and deployment.
    • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while managing project risks and issues effectively.

  • Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor the team of automation engineers, ensuring workload is balanced and any roadblocks are addressed to respect any project timelines and priorities.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with senior management, business analysts, process owners, and other stakeholders to understand global business needs and ensure alignment with automation initiatives.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders, providing regular updates and comprehensive reporting.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide technical guidance and support in the design, development, and deployment of automation solutions using industry-leading tools and technologies.
    • Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and organizational policies, maintaining high-quality standards for all automation projects.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in automation technologies and methodologies.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings through automation.
    • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance automation capabilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in process automation development, implementation, and management.
  • Proven experience leading global automation initiatives and managing distributed teams.
  • Expertise in automation tools and technologies such as RPA (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere), workflow automation, and scripting languages (Python, Java, C#).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with database technologies and SQL.

Above and Beyond

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Certification in one or more automation tools (e.g., UiPath Certified Professional, Blue Prism Developer Certification).
  • Experience working in a multi-national organization with a complex business environment.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and their integration with automation.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in business process analysis and improvement.
