Senior Procurement Engineer

Enel Green Power Hellas is seeking for a Senior Procurement Engineer in Athens, Greece.

This position is critical in monitoring the supply of products and services essential for our company’s investments and operations. This includes a variety of responsibilities, such as, negotiation of the best price and contract terms, execution of the most efficient sourcing strategies, development of successful partnerships and implementation of risk management.
Responsible for overseeing and executing the procurement activities related to major projects and ongoing operations. A role that collaborates with cross-functional teams, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods, works and services in accordance with organizational guidelines, projects requirements and relevant laws and regulations.
What you will do:
· Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with project goals, technical specifications, and budgetary constraints.
· Lead the tendering process, including the preparation of bid documents, technical evaluations, and commercial analysis. Evaluate vendor proposals, conduct negotiations, and make recommendations for contract awards.
· Negotiate best price points via market intelligence and competitor analysis with the objective of meeting customer expectations on quality and timelines within stipulated budgets. Monitor project budgets and expenditures related to procurement activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate pricing terms, and implement effective strategies to optimize procurement spend without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
· Execute applicable/approved sourcing strategies and drive supplier negotiations to meet the quality, fulfilment, and productivity requirements of the business, including identification of suitable/appropriate suppliers & articulation of service requirements.
· Management of contract structure and contract negotiation. Prepare, review, and administer EPC and O&M contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, technical, and commercial requirements.
· Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements. Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, vendor performance issues, and changing market dynamics.
· Develop successful working partnerships with Greece and other business group leadership to understand their procurement needs.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions and emergong technologies in procurement. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and introduce best practicies to optimize procurement operations.
Who you are:
· 5-8 years of procurement experience.
· Postgraduate/Graduate in Engineering (preferably mechanical/electrical/civil) or a related field from a recognized University.
· Additional certifications in procurement, supply chain management etc. will be considered as an asset.
· Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer, preferably in the EPC & O&M sectors.
· Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract management and supplier relationship management.
· Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex technical and commercial information.
· Fluency in English is mandatory.
