Duties:
- Responsible for maintenance and improvements of the Central Systems SCADA application and the related GMS applications; this includes managing the applications supporting the following business functions on a 24x7 basis: Control Room operations; ISO/BA/Market real-time control data feeds; and Offtaker real-time data feed (ICCP/DNP, etc.).
- Maintain and enhance a strong sense of coordination and accountability between SCADA application support team, Plant SCADA, Networking, Cyber Security, and ICS ServiceDesk functions, SCADA application improvements, maintenance, incidents, requests.
- Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes.
- Perform tasks such as hands-on advanced troubleshooting, coordination with software suppliers’ experts, root cause analysis, etc. Perform application monitoring and performance analysis; configuration of applications and data engineering; and software and asset inventory.
- Lead and coordinate the effort of Integration of new construction plants into Central SCADA applications.
- Act at the Central System SCADA application SME for system upgrade, migration and decommission of systems.
- Support and maintain the operation of SCADA/GMS System, including auxiliary systems such as SCADA reporting tools, data feed to ISOs, TOs, Offtakers, and 3rd parties.
- Write, review and update work incident reports and operation procedures. Analyze & report on SCADA application activities (incidents, requests, availability, compliance, etc.).
- Conduct SCADA application improvements, develop scope of work, review design and proposal with suppliers; perform the selection of suppliers, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
- Coordinate the work with the team in charge of managing the infrastructure (networking, compute/storage) supporting SCADA applications and the other Digital Hub units (cyber, plant systems, etc.).
- Define the real time data transfer and support plant SCADA construction team for data capture and calculation in the field.
- Communicate internally with other EGPNA teams and externally with ISOs/TOs/Offtakes in regarding the real time data test, validation, and transmission.
- Provide 24/7 call support of the Control Room system critical incidents.
- Ensure that any work on the SCADA application is performed per Enel standards and external regulation such as CIP/NERC and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationship with SCADA/GMS vendors to keep current with changes in operational systems and Industry trends participating in seminars and training events as required.
- 10% travel domestic and international required.

Requirements:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Controls, Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or a SCADA- related occupation. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
- Hands on experience with integration, support, and maintenance of Control Room SCADA or GMS systems for the energy or utility industry.
- Working knowledge of power plant or electrical systems operations including the SCADA system principle, architecture, and its major functionalities and applications.
- Expertise in industrial communications (including ICCP, IEC104, DNP3, OPC, Modbus, and OSI PI).
- Advanced proficiency in IT communications and systems (including SFTP, SSH, Database administration, SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, data mining, MS Windows server, and Unit/Linux).
- Proficient with network analysis and packet analysis tools (including Wireshark).
- Rigorous approach to problem solving, troubleshooting, documentation, compliance.
- Strong capability to manage contractors and to communicate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information orally and in writing, including explaining methodology and consequences of decisions in lay terms to internal and external stakeholders and senior management.
- Producing and reviewing technical documentation (including troubleshooting guides, incident reports, or similar) and nontechnical documentation (including change management procedures or similar).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel (including Excel Macro), and Power Point.
- 10% travel domestic and international required.
