Job Position and Business line: Technical Service Manager -Solar
Type of Contract: Full Time 
Place of employment: India (Gurgaon) 

The Role: The purpose of this role to act as technical referent for O&M Solar power plants to support the resolution of relevant technical issues and identify innovative technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support to the O&M team and support to BD, E&C during new plant development.
  • Support to service team on Solar technical fronts in operations to improve yield and asset reliability.
  • Technical RCA review of Inverter, Cables, Modules and develop and co-ordinate with the team based on major failures in the asset/plant.
  • Predictive and proactive work to detect major faults/failures and its rectification to minimize major failures, cost and down time.
  • Innovative and collaborative work on new ideas identification, analysis, evaluation, and its execution in the operational plant.
  • Training/guide site team on technical procedures for the solar plant inspections, knowledge.
  • Provide technical inputs for implementation based on changes in law or regulatory issues in operation in PPC, capacitor bank, Inverters, Trafos.
  • Lead the technical activities with all support functions, discussion with OEM and its resolution.
  • Review preventive maintenance activities and its quality of execution in operation.
  • Regular discussion with the OEM Engineering team on major failures, modifications, and its implementation in the field.
  • New innovative ideas POC execution, validation, and horizontal deployment in the plant.
  • New plant visit, review and analysis on risk based on practical implementation.

  • Selection Criteria
  • Electrical Engineer with 8-9 years of experience who understands cables and invertors.
  •  Masters in Power Electronics will be a plus.
  • Experience in the analytical part of solar plant behaviors. 

Key Skills

  • Experience in supporting site in charge on the troubleshooting part and other technical issues from the corporate office.
  • Preferred SAP knowledge in CS and MM module.   
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Auto-cad, SRA. 
  • Be proactive, self-driven and open-minded.
