Descripción y Requisitos

At Enel X, everything starts with our customers. We believe the energy transition only works if it works for them — which is why we stay close to their needs, help them solve real-world challenges, and turn those insights into better products and platforms.

Our mission is to accelerate Taiwan’s shift to clean, flexible, and digital energy by turning factories, buildings, and batteries into one big Virtual Power Plant (VPP). Through this, we help businesses decarbonise their operations, achieve their ESG goals, and unlock new revenue streams by optimising existing energy assets and unlocking value from flexibility on Taiwan’s Energy Trading Platform (ETP).

Our VPP platform connects distributed energy resources and trades them in Taiwan’s markets in real time, 24/7/365. That means the work you do doesn’t just sit in reports — it directly empowers our customers to build a smarter, cleaner, and more resilient grid.

The Role

At its core, this role is about being the customer’s voice inside Enel X — listening to their needs in the field, solving their integration challenges, and making sure those insights shape the way our products and platforms evolve.

You’ll be the trusted technical advisor who walks side by side with our customers, guiding them from the switchgear room to Taiwan’s Energy Trading Platform (ETP). One day you’ll be sketching a single-line diagram with a site manager, the next you’ll be mapping Modbus points into an EMS, and by week’s end you’ll see your work trading live on the market.

Because you stay close to the customer, you’ll also work hand-in-hand with our global product and engineering teams to bring those real-world insights into our innovation cycle — ensuring advanced VPP applications come to life, end-to-end, from platform to field.

What you will do:

  • Champion the customer’s voice — listen deeply to their challenges, provide trusted technical advice, and ensure their needs shape our solutions.
  • Collaborate with global product and engineering teams to stay at the forefront of innovation and translate new VPP applications into real-world deployments.
  • Lead site surveys (HV/MV/LV), evaluate facilities, and design the integration plan — from technical solution to budget and timeline.
  • Build and test PLC + SCADA control logic that keeps factories safe but flexible.
  • Wire up and commission smart meters, IoT gateways, and protocols (Modbus, IEC 104, IEC 61850, OPC UA, MQTT—you name it).
  • Guide customers through the journey, keeping them updated on progress, resolving issues, and making sure projects land smoothly.
  • Manage contractors in the field — training, scheduling, and coordinating electrical teams to deliver projects on time and with top-notch quality.
  • Implement and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) so every project meets the same high bar for safety and quality.
  • Keep internal systems and data flows clean and accurate, so onboarding is error-free and stakeholders have the visibility they need for business planning.
  • Coordinate hardware procurement and logistics, working with suppliers and Enel X global teams to get the right gear in the right place at the right time.
  • Feed back lessons from the field into new technical solutions, helping us unlock new opportunities and run more efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage deployed hardware throughout its lifecycle, troubleshooting connectivity or performance issues to keep the VPP humming.

Who you are:

To thrive in this role, you’ll need more than technical chops — you’ll need the mindset of a builder, a listener, and a problem-solver who knows the customer comes first.

  • Customer-centric at heart: you listen closely, ask the right questions, and make sure customer needs shape how we deliver and how our products evolve.
  • Bilingual communicator: you can talk safety and switchgear with an engineer in Mandarin, then explain market value streams to a global team in English.
  • Electrically fluent: you read a single-line diagram like it’s your favorite manga, and you’re confident around HV/MV/LV gear — with the judgment to stop when safety calls for it.
  • Hands-on engineer: you’ve programmed PLCs (ladder logic, structured text) and debugged them under pressure, and you’re comfortable with SCADA and protocols like Modbus, IEC 104, IEC 61850, OPC UA, MQTT.
  • Integration puzzle-solver: you love stitching together hardware, software, and networks into clean, working solutions.
  • Trusted project leader: you can manage contractors, budgets, and timelines while keeping quality and customer experience high.
  • Global collaborator: you thrive in international teams, working with product, engineering, and operations colleagues to bring advanced VPP applications to life.
  • Curious and resourceful: you’re unafraid of the unknown, learn quickly, and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty (literally).
  • Educated foundation: you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
