The role
- Enel X UK has an immediate need for an Energy Markets Programme Manager to join our market leading Flexibility team based in London.
- This demanding, fast-paced opportunity is responsible for supporting the delivery of our GB Capacity Market programme. The suitable candidate will have a proven record of success in data-driven decision-making and cross-team project management.
- Contribute to the efficient and profitable management and growth of the Capacity Market Flexibility portfolio of Enel X in GB in compliance with relevant program regulations and governing rules.
What you’ll do
Customer Onboarding & Enrolment
- Own and lead the end-to-end registration process for new customers participating in flexibility programmes
- Drive alignment with internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, and Flexibility teams) to ensure seamless and timely enrolment with the Grid Operator
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes by continuously monitoring updates to onboarding and enrolment rules, ensuring Enel X remains compliant and competitive
- Act as the key liaison with the Grid Operator to schedule testing, facilitate audits, and swiftly resolve any issues that arise
Portfolio Management & Optimisation
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise customer data to enhance portfolio performance and ensure all in-year testing requirements are met
- Ensure seamless market participation by managing daily operational tasks and submitting event reports to the Grid Operator
- Oversee and validate settlement processes to guarantee accurate payments from the Grid Operator and correct distribution of revenues to customers
- Lead market analysis and decision-making, providing data-driven insights to optimise programme execution
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and drive better outcomes for Enel X and its customers
- Develop and execute auction strategies, ensuring competitive positioning in tendering processes while maximising revenue potential
- Continuously monitor and forecast flexibility market trends, anticipating potential events and positioning the portfolio for success
- A deep understanding of energy markets, flexibility services, and the regulatory landscape in GB.
- Excitement and motivation to transform the energy sector through innovative business solutions
- Interest in and willingness to learn about flexibility and energy market programmes
- Want to be part of a dynamic and high performing team with a focus on continuous improvement and development
- University degree in Science, Energy or numerical based subject
- At least 2 years of experience working in the energy industry and have a good knowledge of the GB energy market
- Experience working with B2B energy solutions would be advantageous
- Organisation and proven project management skills with prior experience managing across culturally diverse teams both internally and externally
- High attention to detail and able to synthetise complex information into clear, actionable messages
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
- Strong Excel skills and familiar with common software types
