Title: Reliability Technician- Onsite role at our Roseland Facility- Riesel, TX

The Opportunity:
This position is responsible for Condition Monitoring, routine maintenance of critical assets/equipment and non-routine maintenance and troubleshooting support for all Solar and Battery Energy Storage projects in North America. The Reliability Technician shall also support plant personnel during critical or non-routine activities on sites, such as ultrasound and thermal imagery analysis, dissolved gas testing, major repair work of critical equipment. Additionally, this position shall support the development and provide training programs for field personnel on topics within their scope of expertise.


What You'll Do at Enel North America:
Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:
  • Substation (medium and high voltage) advanced diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Collect, Analyze, and Interpret data acquired using a variety of Condition Monitoring technologies as part of a PM/PdM work strategy, including but not limited to; Airborne/structure borne Ultrasound, Vibration analyzers, Infrared Imaging Cameras, Drones, Power Quality Analyzers, Electrical Signature analysis tools.
  • Make recommendations to adjust inspection intervals based on the historical findings of their data collection and analysis activities.
  • In conjunction with Technical Services, develop and perform routine and/or advanced inspections.
  • Provide technical support for in the installation, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul or repair of critical mechanical equipment.
  • Support and Train Technicians on best practices in the areas of Dissolved Gas Analysis, Ultrasound, Thermal Imaging and other condition monitoring technologies.
  • Provide support to site technicians with major overhauls and work evolutions. Audit work performed by site technicians that reasonably impacts the reliability of assets.
  • Develop and lead a training program for technicians within the Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) group.
  • Experience utilizing Work Orders and Notifications in SAP PM is strongly desired.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required, with the ability to engage and cooperate effectively with multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and planning requirements.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively with periods of limited direct supervision.
  • Overtime hours, including some nights or weekends are required.
  • A valid driver’s license operable in all 50 states and Canada.
  • Up to 30% of domestic travel. International travel may be rarely (5%) required.


What You've Accomplished:
  • Minimum of 5 years of field experience in utility scale solar power generation as a plant operator, maintenance technical or related field.
  • Level II Ultrasound, Level II Infrared Imagery Certification within 6 months from hire.
  • Transformer fluid analysis training and qualification within 6 months from hire.
  • FAA Part 107 license and internal drone pilot training and qualification within 6 months from hire.
  • CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) within 6 months from hire.CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliabliity Professional) within 2 years from hire.
  • A demonstrated knowledge of Medium and High Voltage three phase power systems,
  • AC and DC power systems, inverters, instrumentation, and digital control systems is required.
  • Expert knowledge in the troubleshooting and repair of power plant equipment.
  • Strong knowledge in the use of all power plant related test equipment including, but not limited to, vibration analyzers, multi-meters, power quality analyzers, thermography, airborne and mechanical ultrasound, dissolved gas analysis, and other Condition Monitoring technologies.
  • Certification in the use of such equipment is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of time and frequency domain analysis is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical documents, tables, and figures
