The Opportunity:
The Chief Legal Officer will be responsible for the management of legal strategy within the Country, addressing and implementing locally the strategic guidelines centrally set by Enel Group GC and Head of LCA Global business lines, service and practice area.

What You'll Do at Enel North America:
Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:
• to manage the Legal team ensuring the implementation of the global legal strategy.
• to manage the budget of Legal Function balancing the use and deployment of internal and external legal resources.
• to provide legal guidance in relation to business topics.
• to manage compliance issues (e.g. anti- bribery laws, anti- corruption laws, privacy) related to legal entities owned or participated at Country Level.
• to manage Country litigations in coordination with Holding/Global and Local Business Lines/Global and Local Service Functions.

Who You Are:
• Deep understanding of the commercial dynamics of the Energy business; an extensive experience in renewable business.
• A strong foundation in legal principles and knowledge across various areas of law, with a particular focus on corporate law, contract law, employment law, M&A, and regulatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in managing an in-house legal team in a multicultural business environment.
• Knowledge of Spanish and/or Italian language will be considered a plus.

What You've Accomplished:
Requirements
• J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed to practice in the U.S.
• 10 or more years of expertise in energy law for the development of renewable project, M&A, project financing, procurement contracts for the construction and operation of power plants, commercial contracts to sell and buy energy (Power Purchase Agreements).
