What you will do:

In this role, you will join a strategic and passionate commercial team that is working to connect businesses’ equipment, processes and energy assets to our VPP. Reporting to the Senior Manager, WA, the Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing portfolio within the WEM.

Key aspects of the role include:
  • Proactively manage account relationships for a portfolio of large customers independently and in partnership with our Business Development Managers and Sector Leads in Australia 
  • Developing and executing account plans to increase customer penetration through cross-sell and up-sell opportunities 
  • Acts as first point-of-call for customers with any operational, technical or commercial queries
  • Supports customers success and contributes to strong performance outcomes
  • Managing customer retention for your portfolio of customers  
  • Establishing productive, professional relationships internally and with key customer personnel 
  • Working with internal stakeholders to improve our customer experiences and support processes throughout the customer lifecycle 
  • Possessing knowledge in the areas of energy markets, electricity tariffs, demand response program rules, and energy efficiency opportunities and all the services Enel’s offers 
  • Educating customers on Enel’s technology platform and informing customers of new programs, product offerings, and market developments 
  • Listening to customer needs and relating such needs to company leaders as appropriate 

Key to Success:

In order to succeed in this role, you need to possess most of the following attributes:
  • 1 to 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in account management, customer success or client facing roles within the energy, utilities, infrastructure or related industries
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of B2B, large or complex C&I customers
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Prior experience within the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM), retail power supply, and/or B2B energy services;
  • A passion for business development as a discipline, backed by an understanding of leading business development frameworks and methodologies for success
  • A highly professional self-starter with an innate drive to win
