If you want to change the face of energy, we are looking for a “Data Scientist” to join our “Customer Intelligence” team!

Who You’ll work with

You will join the Customer Intelligence Team of Enel X Global Retail that is in charge of creating Advanced Analytics and providing actionable insights to drive business growth and optimize our marketing and sales strategies.

What You’ll do

• Analyze and interpret customer data to identify trends, behaviors, and market opportunities;
• Develop statistical and machine learning models to enhance global retail activities, such as predicting churn and identifying potential up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Solve hard, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical, statistical, mathematical methods as needed and be autonomous in end-to-end development of a Data Product (data gathering and requirements specification, data preprocessing, analysis, modelling, presentations, code industrialization)
• Actively collaborate with various stakeholders to translate complex insights into concrete recommendations for the retail teams and ensure alignment of business strategies.
• Monitor marketing campaign performance and provide recommendations to optimize their effectiveness.
• Improve, maintain and leverage an existing data model to support business analyses and strategic decisions and maintain updated knowledge on the latest trends and technologies in the field of data science.

What You’ll bring

• 4 - 8 years of working experience as a Data Scientist/ML Engineer solving marketing problems
• Data science and statistics skills with a good understanding of probability theory, A/B testing and time-series analysis,
• Great knowledge of machine learning algorithms. Experience with the full machine learning lifecycle
• Proficient in Python (advanced to expert level)
• Sound experience in querying SQL/NoSQL databases
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced experience in Excel, BI and Data Visualization tools (Power BI).
• Experience with Git and DevOps methodologies: the Atlassian suite (bitbucket, confluence, Jira, bamboo) is a strong plus.
• Experience with microservices architecture (Docker containers and Kubernetes) is a strong plus.
• Experience with AWS Sagemaker is considered a strong plus.
• Experience with Analytical Engineering tools such as DBT is considered a strong plus.
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective and inclusive communication.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to translate complex insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations, adapting the message to the target audience.
• Skill in tackling data quality challenges, analysis issues, and technical difficulties, finding innovative and pragmatic solutions.
• Curiosity and continuous learning.
• Ability to critically evaluate data, identify biases and distortions, and ensure reliable and robust insights
• Advanced degree (Ph.D preferred) in a quantitative field such as Maths, Physics, Computer Science or Data Science.
