The Opportunity:
Develop one or more projects under the supervision of Development Managers, Senior Development Managers and/or Regional Directors by coordinating with project teams to develop wind, solar and storage projects in North America. Position based in Lenexa, Kansas, or maybe remote, although travel to various states and projects will be required. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Business, Agriculture, GIS or a similar field preferred. Candidates are preferred to have at least 1+ years of experience in the wind or solar industries. If no direct work experience in renewables or energy industry, relevant work experience of 3+ years or a master’s degree is required. A team player with strong interpersonal skills along with real estate, technical and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential; GIS/computer mapping skills a plus.

What You'll Do at Enel North America:
• Management of project strategy plan in conjunction with developers, including project schedule and timeline, critical path activities, a critical issues list, preparing project budget and cash flow projections, supporting and completing requested reporting and tracking needs.
• Coordination with project subject matter experts, including interconnection process, project design, regulatory and legislative matters and environmental studies.
• Drafting landowner letters, planning dinners (including doing research for location, materials for meetings, catering, and other event planning/coordination), meetings and other events.
• Support a public relations plan with input from the project team, completing public outreach, completing online research of potential stakeholder groups within project areas, garnering key stakeholder relationships, and being an active community member to actively represent the project and brand.
• Support site acquisition efforts of Development Manager including landowner lease agreement and/or purchase option negotiations, management of land agent activities; support title curative activities in coordination with the real estate team.
• Support the Development Manager and Business Development team in preparing the negotiation of power purchase and asset sale agreements; preparation of materials for bidding of projects into RFP’s or bi-lateral deals, including schedule/timeline creation, assistance in the management of the documentation and due diligence processes (including managing documents, uploading files, maintaining trackers, etc.), and compiling data from the team.
• Support the Development Manager and Business Development team in the sale of projects/project assets by creating data rooms of materials, managing the compiling of information in the data room, tracking deliverables and ensuring data compliance, providing deliverable status reports to team/counterparties, coordinating between subject matter experts, coordinate response of counterparty due diligence/questions, etc.
• Support the Development Manager and Business Development team in the acquisition of projects/project assets by downloading and archiving data room details, compiling question lists from subject matter experts, coordinating response from the counterparty to team members, support the preparation of memos/summary documents/slides on the status of the assets for management review, etc.
• Work with the project team during state and/or local permitting processes, including application preparation, research, review of contractor reports, assisting in overall permitting strategy, and occasionally representing the company during the permitting process, etc.
• Update: Strategy PowerPoints, Project Milestone Timelines, MS Project Budget/Task Lists, Region Critical Issues Organization, MS Project Schedule, Project management Report for priority projects.

Who You Are:
• 1+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry preferred
• Knowledge of environmental and site permitting processes preferred
• Experience in greenfield renewable energy development and renewable energy contract/lease agreement negotiations preferred
• Experience in public outreach and community engagement preferred
• Must demonstrate good judgement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Work on all aspects of renewable energy project development from conceptualization through feasibility analysis, organization, design and construction
• Demonstrate an ability and willingness to grow within the team to advance to a Development Manager or other role
• Be able to easily converse with individuals from different backgrounds, including agricultural backgrounds, to build rapport with stakeholders (e.g. landowners, public officials and community members) and accurately convey details and benefits of the project
• The ideal candidate would have a customer-oriented mindset, exceptional communication skills, impressive attention to detail, strong work ethic, leadership capabilities, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

What You've Accomplished:
• 4-year bachelor’s degree or higher required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Project, Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc. required
• Project management experience preferred
• A valid driver’s license operable in all 50 states
• Must be willing to travel domestically 50% of the time or more
• If no direct work experience in renewables or energy industry, relevant work experience of 3+ years or a master’s degree is required.

What Enel North America Offers You:
The hiring range for this position is $30.93 per hour to $38.75 per hour. For remote positions, this is based on a national average base pay for this role. For positions in California this range will be specific to the location in California. The actual range may vary based on the geographic location of the chosen candidate. For all positions, the base pay actually offered will take into account various factors, including internal equity and job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
