The Opportunity:
Leads project development for projects in North America. Responsible for coordinating with project team members to successfully develop wind and solar projects.

What You'll Do at Enel North America:
• Creation and management of overall project strategy plan, including project schedule
identifying critical path activities, maintaining a critical issues list, preparing project
budget and cash flow projections, completing requested management reporting and
tracking.
• Coordination with project subject matter experts, including on project interconnection
process, preliminary project design, preform financial model, regulatory and legislative
matters, environmental and wild life studies.
• Creation and management of a public relations plan with input from the project team,
completing public outreach, garnering stakeholder relationships, being an active
community member to actively represent the project and brand.
• Completing site acquisition including landowner lease agreement and/or purchase
option negotiation; completing title curative activities either directly or in coordination
with the real estate team.
• Support the negotiation of power purchase and asset sale agreements; including
schedule creation, management of the documentation and due diligence processes,
compiling data from the team and presenting to counterparties, etc.
• Actively lead the project team during state and/or local permitting processes, including
application preparation, review and sign off of contractor reports, defining overall
permitting strategy, representing the company during the permitting process, etc.
• Actively mentor, coach and support the less senior team members in order to assure the
success of all projects under the active pipeline.

Who You Are:
• Proven track record in project management, greenfield development, and renewable
energy contract, lease agreement and purchase option agreement negotiations
• Direct experience in completion of local and/or state level permitting
• Direct experience in public outreach and community engagement, preferably in
environments with opposition
• Extensive knowledge of renewable energy industry specific regulatory and legislative
frameworks preferred
• Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar software experience preferred
• Leadership traits are key; must have the ability to successfully lead cross-functional
and dynamic project teams in a matrix organization
• A valid driver’s license operable in all 50 states
• Must be willing to domestic travel 25 to 50% of time.
• Must be able to autonomously and consistently:
o Develop a project budgeting drafting
o Collaborate on the creation of the project strategy formulation
o Produce landowner letters, attend dinners and meetings; establish local
stakeholder communications, letters and meetings

What You've Accomplished:
• 4 year college degree required, advanced and/or technical degree highly preferred
• Project management experience required, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
• 5-7 years development experience in the renewable energy industry required; 7 years of work experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of regional environmental and site permitting processes
required

What Enel North America Offers You:
The hiring range for this position is $112,019.97 to $155,408.00 per year.  For remote positions, this is based on a national average base pay for this role. For positions in California this range will be specific to the location in California. The actual range may vary based on the geographic location of the chosen candidate. For all positions, the base pay actually offered will take into account various factors, including internal equity and job-related knowledge, skills and experience. At Enel, base pay is one part of your total compensation package. 

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s Business Development Bonus Program with a target payout amount of up to 50% of eligible earnings.  Employees hired after October 1st are not eligible for a bonus for the year in which they are hired.  More information regarding the Business Development Bonus Program will be provided upon hire.
