The Opportunity:

Responsible for providing technical, regulatory, and programmatic direction on environmental issues for Enel’s North American Fleet of renewable energy facilities. Assures that the highest level of compliance is maintained with all applicable environmental rules and regulations. Responsible for governance, oversight, and completion of specific environmental regulatory filings in one or more environmental programs including, but not limited to, solid and hazardous waste management, environmental management system (EMS), facility operational permits and compliance reporting, biodiversity, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG)

What You'll Do at Enel North America:

In accordance with Holding guidelines, and liaising with Central Health, Safety,

Environment and Quality Unit, responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

• Prepare, review and submit agency applications, reports and filings, and respond to agency inquiries. Support agency negotiations and comment on proposed permits.

• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring

resource allocation, scheduling and budget development and stewardship.

• Manage consultants and other vendors associated with environmental projects and

monitoring activities.

• Provide facility advice, develop and implement environmental strategies, prepare and issue regulatory interpretations related to area of subject matter expertise (SWPPP, SPCC, Waste, HAZCOM, EPCRA, EMS, Biodiversity, ESG, etc.). Comment on proposed regulations

• Provide technical and regulatory support and expertise to environmentally related projects and programs to assure compliance with all appropriate environmental regulations.

• Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of the existing EMS, including developing and revising process models, programs, procedures and tools for coordinated implementation.

• Provide programmatic direction and facilitate development, implementation, and

maintenance of environmental aspects of Enel’s ESG program.

• Coordinate and serve as primary point of contact for audit program.

• Oversee Facility Operational handover process and post-construction operational

compliance matters (PCMM, SWPPP, SPCC, Habitat Restoration)

• Develop and track site level environmental performance for upline reporting.

• Perform all other duties as assigned. Contribute to the overall needs and objectives of

the unit and company.

• Maintain data integrity within all data systems, including SAP

• Position has a direct impact on plant operation and serves as in-house technical

expert/consultant to fleet-wide Power facilities in area of expertise.

• Work with Environmental Permitting group to provide guidance to sites on upcoming

regulatory compliance issues.

• Position requires a high level of independence and ability to make decisions in areas of

subject matter expertise.

• Position requires communication and interaction with Enel business units that include but are not limited to operations, sustainability, strategy, government affairs, supply, legal,

communications, auditing, and financial

Who You Are & What You’ve Accomplished:

·       BS in engineering, natural or physical sciences, chemistry, or environmental science with 5+ years professional experience OR

• Associate's degree with 10+ years' experience and 5+ years exempt-level experience

• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements for power plants

Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

products. Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed

• Availability for local, domestic and international travel; up to 25%

• Superior written and verbal communication skills

• Experience working within integrated management systems/quality systems ((ISO 9001,

14001 & 45001, 37001 helpful)

• Strong initiative and drive for high achievement and continuous improvement

• Superior communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required

What Enel North America Offers You:

The pay range for this position is $123,000.00 to $184,000.00 annually. The base pay actually offered will be based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, work experience, education, and internal equity.
