The Opportunity: 
 This role manages and has overall responsibility for HSEQ activity in supporting the major maintenance events that take place on operating renewable energy projects by providing consultative support to management and employees to create and maintain the company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) values and programs.  


What You'll Do at Enel North America: 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operational Oversight
• Manage HSEQ functions associated with O&M major maintenance events for Wind, Solar, and BESS.
• Monitor and evaluate operational performance at the North America level, ensuring alignment with corporate HSEQ objectives.
• Travel up to 80% to various renewable energy projects in the U.S. and Canada.

Program & Policy Management
• Maintain and implement HSEQ manuals, programs, compliance plans, and initiatives in collaboration with the O&M Regional Manager.
• Administer and support the company’s Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 37001).
• Manage local HSEQ targets, KPIs, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain the HSEQ deficiency tracking system to ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.

Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, environmental, and permit requirements.
• Conduct routine site observations and inspections to verify compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Coordinate hazard analyses and develop risk-reduction programs in collaboration with technical teams.
• Track and assess contractor HSE performance, ensuring adherence to site policies through regular safety inspections.
• Validate contractor qualifications and required documentation for maintenance activities.

Incident & Non-Conformance Management
• Lead or coordinate investigations of incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, ensuring thorough documentation and corrective action implementation.
• Support and counsel employees involved in incidents to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain positive relationships with state and federal regulatory agencies.

Stakeholder Support & Collaboration
• Provide consultative HSEQ support to contractors and site staff to ensure consistent application of company values at the contract/subcontract level.
• Review site conditions with teams and customers, develop action plans, and monitor their implementation.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, audits, and special HSEQ initiatives.
• Address employee requests, complaints, and environmental concerns in partnership with management.

Data & Reporting
• Maintain accurate and reliable HSEQ data across all relevant systems.
• Monitor performance metrics and report on progress toward company safety and quality goals.
Professional Conduct
• Act with integrity in all HSEQ matters, upholding compliance and operational excellence.
• Contribute proactively to the unit’s and the company’s broader objectives.

Who You Are: 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required
• Comparing, copying, calculating, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills. 
• Superior written and verbal communication skills

What You've Accomplished: 
• Experience with operations and construction and working knowledge of relevant regulations
• NCCCO certification
• Active GWO certifications (BTT, ART, BST)
• Technical certifications in wind energy/electrical/electronics field
• Knowledge and experience of the Liftra LT1200 and LT1000 self-hoisting cranes
• BS in Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, or related work experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience 
• Thorough knowledge of applicable regulations, practices, and computer skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database applications (SAP a plus)
• Experience working within integrated management systems/quality systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001/45001, 37001
