If you want to shape the future of energy, we are looking for a Demand Response Operations Associate to join our operations team! 


Who you will work with 

Enel X has an immediate need for a Demand Response Operations Associate working in the Network Operations Center in Boston. This team helps deliver on North American demand response (DR) program commitments by leading implementation, managing execution, and coordinating operational support for Enel X’s demand response programs. 

The ideal candidate will have a healthy understanding of the DR business and a strong desire to become an expert in DR program rules, proprietary systems, and operational protocols. This role will support the execution of new and existing programs to consistently meet energy reduction targets.  The DR Operations team thrives on a culture of continuous improvement, and the ideal candidate will be motivated to learn and inspired to question and improve upon the status quo.  Opportunities for growth will become apparent in the areas of operational efficiency, customer experience, system & process alignment, and cross-functional collaboration. 


What you will do 
  • Schedule and send mass emails to customers for all communications related to program season and resource activation likelihood. 
  • Run reports and communicate impact of various processes to a broad cross-functional audience. 
  • Complete standard maintenance updates on operating procedures for all assigned programs. 
  • Monitor systems for data completeness and escalate any gaps to the appropriate internal team.  
  • Conduct outreach to prioritized customers before, during, and after dispatches as directed by DR Operations Analyst and/or Program Manager. 
  • Support the cross-functional implementation of new demand response & demand management programs. 

 

What you will bring 

  • Experienced with Excel, Salesforce, and/or proprietary software 
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree 
    • 1+ years of experience in an operational role 
    • Previous work in energy management, power generation, demand response, or a related industry is a plus 
    • Desire to be a contributing member of a deeply connected, mission-driven team 
    • Naturally curious about how things are designed and built; driven to solve challenging problems 
    • Demonstrated ability to manage difficult situations calmly and effectively; thrive in a fast-paced, open, flexible environment 
    • Highly task-oriented and organized; able to keep track of multiple objectives and prioritize accordingly 
    • Meticulous attention to detail when tackling thorny problems  
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

The pay range for this position is $27.89 - $32.48 hourly. The base pay actually offered will be based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, work experience, education, and internal equity.
