We are seeking strong I & C technicians- and will train candidates in battery and SCADA.

The Opportunity:
This position is responsible for providing technical support for configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems, including battery management systems (BMS), for Enel’s Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Ensure facility control systems and BMS are functioning safely, efficiently, reliably and within budgetary limits, with the objective of meeting business goals for production while minimizing unscheduled equipment downtime. This position will be the in-house technical expert on BESS facility control systems.
Additionally, this position shall develop and provide training programs for field personnel on topics within their scope of expertise.

What You'll Do at Enel North America:
  • Provide advanced technical support for high-level plant activities during commissioning, maintenance work, fault diagnosis, and repairs on BESS control systems including communications equipment and battery management systems (BMS).
  • Define preventative maintenance strategy and ensure execution of maintenance on all BESS control system equipment including BMSs, PLCs, HMIs, communications equipment, HVAC controllers, fire system controllers, etc. to comply with regulation, best practice, contractual, and business needs.
  • Responsible overall performance and maintenance of controllers that process and control many of the field devices for the operation of the facility including I/O and related system components that connect field devices to the control systems.
  • Responsible for a full network of fiber optic communications for data flow from package systems around the facilities to send and receive data to and from the control systems.
  • Responsible for supporting the Logistics Department with control system related spare parts identification and ideal stocking rates.
  • Engage battery OEMs and BESS integrators to document battery management strategies used on BESS assets.

Who You Are:
  • Experience with battery management system for battery energy storage systems across various chemistries including Li Ion.
  • A strong personal drive and interest in reliability and continual process improvement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required, with the ability to engage and cooperate effectively with multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical documents, tables, and figures
  • Excellent computer skills with experience on the MS suite including Word, Excel and MS Project.

What You've Accomplished:
  • Associates/Tech. Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or Automation Technology
  • 3+ years of industrial automation experience in the Energy Sector or similar business, utilizing complex Control Systems.
  • Industrial automation experience in the Energy Sector or similar business, utilizing complex Control Systems: E.g.- SCADA, Ladder Logic (PLC), etc.
  • Networking experience, Windows, Linux, DOS, C++
