Please note:
  • This internship will run from January through June, 2024. Candidates must be able to work full-time hours on a co-op model schedule.
  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for the duration of the internship in order to be considered.
  •  This intern will ideally work Eastern Time hours. This position is remote and must be based in the United States.

The Opportunity:
Enel X, a leading provider of Demand Response and energy efficiency solutions, is looking for interns to join the team. Interns will work closely with the Energy Markets team to ensure Enel X's ability to deliver on its North American Demand Response commitments.

The ideal candidate will be a fast learner and highly driven to work as part of a team. They will support business transactions, process improvements, reporting, and analytics. This individual must possess excellent attention to detail, an ability to execute business critical operations, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced, team environment under time-critical situations.

What You'll Do at Enel North America:
  • Support Demand Response enrollment activity with our utility partners and various grid operators
  • Coordinate across internal and customer facing teams to troubleshoot issues and execute enrollment requirements
  • Maintain accurate customer data on Salesforce with internal and external stakeholder input using a variety of tools, including Microsoft Excel
  • Identify and implement improvements to productivity, efficiency, and business operations
  • Fulfill ad-hoc analyses to support the Energy Markets team as needed

Who You Are:
  • Students actively enrolled in an accredited college or university;
  • Demonstrated interest in green energy industry or sustainability;
  • Self-starter with ability to work as a team and independently to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent ability to solve qualitative and quantitative problems;
  • Strong desire to learn, highly motivated to drive projects to completion;
  • Ability to manage high-throughput transactional activity effectively, while also developing efficiency gains through process improvement and automation;
  • Drive to ask for help, receive feedback, and give feedback to others.

What You've Accomplished:
  • Familiarity with R or VBA;
  • Experience in operations, financial operations, or project management;
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems;
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

What Enel North America Offers You:
The hiring range for this position is $22.00 per hour. For remote positions, this is based on a national average base pay for this role. For positions in California this range will be specific to the location in California. The actual range may vary based on the geographic location of the chosen candidate. For all positions, the base pay actually offered will take into account various factors, including internal equity and job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
