The Opportunity:
The Senior Energy Advisor, Renewables leads client engagements of a variety of scopes, including GHG emission reduction strategy development, renewable product evaluation and risk analysis, transaction solicitation management, and contract negotiation. Client engagement leadership includes leading client meetings (often with senior executives), communicating effectively on complex topics, managing work scopes, and assuring delivery of quality and timely information.

The SRA demonstrates and applies subject matter expertise in multiple areas, including but not limited to: wholesale power markets, Scope 2 emission reduction products, GHG emission reduction frameworks, C&I customer tariff rate structures, renewable project economics and analysis techniques, and transaction negotiations and contracting.

The SRA is an effective communicator, collaborator and role model, helping to foster productive working relationships across the Customer Insight organization. The SRA provides guidance to other renewable (and net zero) analysis/advisor team members, offers and seeks support to/from colleagues on tangent teams, and leads cross team initiatives.

What You'll Do at Enel North America:
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver clear and analytically supported presentation material to educate and advise clients on renewable procurement strategy and execution.
  • Lead client discussions to facilitate stakeholder alignment and shape strategies that reflect stated goals, priorities and constraints.
  • Demonstrate market, regulatory and renewable transaction expertise throughout client engagements.
  • Maintain understanding of existing and new sustainability solutions and how they are regarded by key organizations (SBTi, RE100, CDP, etc.).
  • Manage procurement of renewable supply and environmental commodities including design and delivery of sourcing events, proposal analysis and due diligence, and post-procurement support.
  • Build and maintain counterparty relationships (including those with renewable project developers and environmental commodity sellers) during and outside of procurement events.
  • Support business development initiatives by assessing opportunities, providing expert product knowledge and trend information and consultation on pricing.
  • Support the training and development of colleagues.
Who You Are:
  • Ability to work with and communicate data via Excel and other analytical tools
  • Firm understanding of energy markets, regulatory policy and competitive environment
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and something to prove
  • Fanatical attention to detail
What You've Accomplished:
Requirements
  • B.S. or B.A. or equivalent required, preferred in business, finance, communications, or economics
  • 10+ years professional experience
  • Experience in customer facing role
  • Prior deregulated energy experience

What Enel North America Offers You:
The hiring range for this position is $118,400.00 to $162,800.00 per year. For remote positions, this is based on a national average base pay for this role. For positions in California this range will be specific to the location in California. The actual range may vary based on the geographic location of the chosen candidate. For all positions, the base pay actually offered will take into account various factors, including internal equity and job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
