About Digital Solutions:

Digital Solutions is a highly strategic and crucial department for our product-focused company.

It was initiated with the aim of providing a modern and innovative suite of software & data solutions aligned with the Company portfolio strategy and with internal operational needs.

A lot goes through here: following the Gridspertise strategy and prioritization, Digital Solutions is in charge the entire design and execution of the Software solutions roadmap!

What you will do:

As Development Lead in the Digital Solutions field, you will be responsible for all activities related to:
  • Manage, mentor and lead the team, provide guidance on standards and oversight to ensure goals;
  • Provide knowledge and ideas for the design and development of our assets for all the different layers of our suite;
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, cross-functional, and technical teams to understand business; goals and design both the functional and technical roadmaps. This includes technical modernization, performance improvements, configuration layers, and documentation, defining guidelines and standards for vertical teams;
  • Coordinate the demand for product development from the vertical teams to efficiently and effectively allocate development resources;
  • Collaborate with the vertical teams on the progressive transformation toward our envisioned suite, architecture, standards and productization logic;
  • Help to develop quality code that’s testable and maintainable and guarantee best practices in terms of coding style, Git usage and team conventions are followed;
  • Perform code reviews and play an active part in tech discussions;
  • Talent development, with main goals on recruiting, and develop a balance team providing growth opportunities.

Who you are:

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree preferably in Computer Science or similar STEM fields with:
  • 5+ years of experience in the role;
  • Proficiency in microservices architecture and its implementation, including containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and API-driven and event driven development;
  • Proficiency in productization frameworks and expertise in managing product development roadmaps;
  • Demonstrated track record in leading and managing technical teams and deliveries, both internal and external;
  • Experience and certifications in deployment strategies on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google, Azure) and technologies like Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform and Ansible;
  • Expertise in technologies such as Spring Boot and Java for backend development, rust, golang and JavaScript frameworks for front-end development (Vue, Angular, or React);
  • In-depth experience in different integration strategies and technologies, primarily Rest API, gRPC, SOAP, events, etc;
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing multi-modal databases capable of handling diverse data types, such as structured and unstructured data. This includes technologies like Mongo, Timescale, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and HDFS;
  • Experience in data engineering and programming ETLs;
  • Global Knowledge of user experience (UX) and IoT fundamentals;
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
Following characteristics are considered a plus:
  • Experience as a Product Owner and familiarity with agile methodologies;
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, and data privacy considerations in enterprise architecture;
  • Expertise in DevSecOps practices and CI/CD strategies and tools, such as Jenkins, Gitlab, SonarQube, Puppet, etc;
  • Experience in software and enterprise architecture and knowledge of agile frameworks (SAFe, C4 model) and traditional frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.);
  • Experience in software testing methodologies and tools. Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing using tools like JUnit, Selenium, Jest, or PyTest;
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or ELK Stack to ensure the performance and reliability of applications;
  • Experience in Software companies in the Smart Grids space;
  • Proficiency in other languages: Spanish.
