Descrição e Requisitos

 The Role: Come join us a Legal counsel where you will be responsible for advising   and managing the legal issues of the company.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Providing legal support to business development team in connection with the day-to-day activities required to be undertaken for greenfield projects such as drafting of joint development agreements, MOUs, permitting and approval agreements, term sheet, letters of intent for projects which are at various stages of development, reviewing tender documents and providing end to end support on tender submission.
  • Providing legal support on corporate and equity financing for renewable energy projects wherein, there will be equity participation by a financial investor into the future pipeline projects.
  •  Drafting and negotiating procurement and engineering and construction teams in connection with large equipment purchase contracts (turbine supply etc.), construction (contracts (EPC, BOP), claims etc.) and handling related disputes, advising on strategy for termination/suspension of the contracts.
  • Supporting with the legal aspects related to land/ right of way issues during development phases of the project.
  • Providing legal support to other functions (Commercial office, HR, Compliance, Regulatory, Administration, Finance and Control and other units) on other day to day related activities.
  •  Prior experience in handling litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters, preferably on the energy side.

 

 

 Selection Criteria

  • At least 5 to 6 years of prior work experience of working with top law firms handling energy (conventional and non-conventional forms of energy) and infrastructure projects or working with energy companies or a combination of both.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts.
  • Excellent skills in drafting contracts such as NDA, MOU, Joint Development Agreements, JVA/SHA/SPA, EPC Contracts, O&M Agreements.
  • Ability to work in time constraint situation and to follow tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
