The Opportunity:
The Associate Product Manager is responsible for contributing to the roadmap development for and ensuring the successful creation of a world class Flexibility Platform and for the successful deployment and support of the platform for worldwide DR markets. They will work hand in hand with the product strategy teams to understand requirements of the different markets, customer needs and product offerings for those markets, and business operations stakeholders from across Enel X to appropriately prioritize and specify product investments.  This is a terrific opportunity to have a major impact on some of the most innovative applications of the smart grid. 

What You'll Do at Enel North America:
Responsibilities, include, but not limited to: 
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of our internal customers and our markets globally with respect to the platform component assigned 
  • Understand Enel X’s offerings and how they can be applied to address specific customer and market needs  
  • Conduct interviews of customers and target users of our Flexibility Platform gather general data and detailed feedback for specific initiatives 
  • Identify, prioritize, create and implement enhancements and new offerings by assessing the market, listening to customers, defining requirements, building product, and rolling out new solutions 
  • Document business requirements in the form of epics and user stories and communicate them effectively to the engineering teams 
  • Work directly with our engineering teams and represent the voice of customer and the market in the development process  
  • Understand Enel X’s product strategy and roadmap across key internal functional areas, including product development, marketing, sales, operations, finance, and legal, and support go to market activities                  

Who You Are:   
  • Possess a thorough understanding of energy markets and the mechanics of energy market operations 
  • Have contributed to design portfolio management and real time monitoring tools or to advanced data management tools 
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and related software development methodologies  
  • Strong business acumen and experience developing and presenting robust business cases 
  • Problem solving mind-set 
  • Teamwork experience, negotiation skills and good ability in solving conflicts 
  • Strong track record of result-oriented achievement in a fast-paced dynamic environment.  
  • A valid passport and the ability to occasionally travel internationally required 
  • Creativity and a sense of humor essential 

What You've Accomplished:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or Economics; MBA preferred 
  • 3+ years’ experience in software product management or relevant experience within the product development life cycle 
  • 1+ years of experience with demand response and/or distributed energy resources and flexibility management

What Enel North America Offers You:
The hiring range for this position is $83,000 - $103,000 annually. For remote positions, this is based on a national average base pay for this role. For positions in California this range will be specific to the location in California. The actual range may vary based on the geographic location of the chosen candidate. For all positions, the base pay actually offered will take into account various factors, including internal equity and job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
